【题 目】Certification of quantum cryptography against implementation loopholes
【摘 要】Quantum cryptography is unbreakable in principle, but its real implementations have vulnerabilities arising from equipment imperfections. Certification standards and accredited labs are being established that can test commercial products for these flaws. I explain how we have analysed a commercial quantum key distribution system for loopholes, patched them, and designed tests for the certification lab [Phys. Rev. Appl. 22, 044076 (2024)]. I show some of the testbenches in this lab, such as an ultrawide spectral characterisation testbench [arXiv:2508.15136, arXiv:2503.11239], automated detector testing, laser damage testbench that verifies the quality of a power limiter [arXiv:2506.19091], and methodology for intersymbol-correlation characterisation [arXiv:2503.11239].
【报告人简介】Vadim Makarov is a leading physicist and pioneer in quantum hacking, renowned for his work on the security of quantum cryptography. He is a Professor at the Russian Quantum Center, where he heads the Quantum Hacking Lab, and a Group Leader at the Vigo Quantum Communication Center (University of Vigo, Spain). With over 60 publications and more than 8,000 citations, his research has been critical in advancing real-world quantum communication security.
